Elgin opening day washed out.

Typical Scottish weather put a dampener on the Elgin opening celebrations, sandwiched in between numerous days of glorious weather was today, a damp miserable saturday - but it's always the same in Scotland when you plan anything outdoors!
The park looks awesome though and loads of locals turned out to see the ribbon being cut and persisted with the rain in hope of 15 minutes of sun. The sun never came but the rain did hold off for half an hour, long enough for the ESP boys and the days star attractions Stu Graham and Colin Kennedy to put on a sweeping display for the kids. There was no time to waist and Mike from ESP got the demo's underway before the rain returned, starting with the 20Twenty 'demo team', dropping in on a park like this for the first time ever is nerve wracking enough but add a couple hundred eyes fixed on you and it takes it to a new level! 10 minutes of riding passed and the rain came back on putting an end to any hope of seeing the 'sweep demo team' demonstrating there ability to skate too.
Thanks go out to ESP and all the guys involved in making the park reality and also for those who made it the best day possible, cheers especially to the guys who swept out the park and sorry we stole the 10 minutes of use the park had to offer today!
Cant wait to get back on a sunny day!
